Ah, Exmoor pubs. The traditional watering holes of British country-dwellers. Here at Exmoor Distillery, we love a good pub just as much as the next person and we have visited a fair few pubs in Exmoor!

While there are loads of amazing things to do in Exmoor, relaxing back in a beer garden with an ice-cold glass of gin is probably up there as our favourite.

That’s why we want to share some of our favourite Exmoor pubs with you! While there are many superb pubs in Exmoor that supply Northmoor Gin, these are some of the best pubs local to Exmoor Distillery. We know you’ll love them just as much as we do, and each one houses our very own Northmoor Gin, so you can get the true taste of Exmoor while visiting!

#1 Woods Bar and Restaurant

If award-winning wine bars and amazing, locally sourced food is your thing (obviously!) then Woods Bar and Restaurant is the perfect place for a tipple. The pub was crafted by owner Paddy Groves and his brother. Its timber frame, hand-crafted bar and low-lighting make this local one of the best pubs in Exmoor.

Plus, they’ve won “Wine Pub of The Year” from the Good Pub Guides eleven times in the past fourteen years. This really is a pub worth visiting!

But it’s not just wine that they do well, its all manner of other drinks too. Their bar is lined with real ales, bottles of gin and wonderful malts. You’ll be spoiled for choice!

It even has the royal seal of approval. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Katherine, have dinned in the award-winning pub. 0n more than one occasion too!
