Here at Exmoor Distillery, we have been working around the clock to think of the ways that we can help our loyal and loving customers in the difficult weeks and months ahead, and we want to share some of these new services with you.

Firstly, we would just like to thank our amazing customers for all the support that we have been receiving during this difficult time. Ensuring that our customers are well informed and looked after is of the utmost importance to us. We are doing what we can as a small and independent business to ensure the safety of both our staff and the wider community.

We are working hard to evolve quickly to the new world that we find ourselves in and this blog post will cover some of the plans we have in place.

#1 Looking After Exmoor Distillery’s Customers and Staff

When all of this began we decided to temporarily postpone our distillery tours. We believed that this was the right thing to do in the circumstances. But we will be looking forward to opening again in the future.

While we’ve missed welcoming people into the distillery, we know that its what needed to be done. But please rest assured that we are still delivering your products as normal, and our online shop is open for business as usual – so you don’t have to go without your gin!

#2 Free Nationwide Delivery

In light of the recent situation, Exmoor Distillery has been working hard to find a way to help our customers. This is especially important for those who may be unable to go out. We are now offering free delivery to those across the country who are in need of a tiple without leaving the house.

All deliveries will be made via Royal Mail and courier and will be delivered to your door without contact.

#3 Producing Hand Sanitizer

We have had a lot of people asking about hand sanitizer on our social media channels over the past few weeks. We’d like to take this opportunity to let you know that this venture is on the horizon. Our Head Distiller, John, has been hard at work creating 80% alcohol sanitiser.

We want our customers to feel safe. As we have the tools to create the hand sanitiser that our customers need, we feel that this is a great way for us to adapt and to help.

Bulk Hand Sanitiser for the NHS

We are so pleased to say that we will be supplying our hand sanitiser in bulk to the NHS directly. With tough times ahead, we have been looking for ways that we can adapt our local distillery into a beacon of hope. Being able to provide our healthcare workers with some extra protection has made us very happy indeed!

#4 Competitions For Key Workers and NHS Staff

Creating competitions for our customers to get involved with is something that we love. Last week, we created a special competition. We’ll be giving our NHS staff and key workers the opportunity to win a bottle of our Northmoor Navy Strength with a gift box.

We’re incredibly proud of those who are on the frontline, as well as our key workers. So, we want to show them all the support that we can. Keep an eye on our social channels to keep up to date with our competitions.

#5 Exmoor Distillery: We’re Here if You Need Us

This is a very difficult time not just for our small business and customers, but for everyone. We want to let everyone know that the Exmoor Distillery team is always here if you need us. We will do what we can to ensure the community is safe and supported. Whether it’s a gin delivery or whether you just need someone to talk to, we’ll do what we can to help.

#6 Developing New Ideas

Evolving quickly as a small business is a challenge. We are doing what we can to develop new ideas that will benefit the local community and our customers.

While some ideas may take a while to get going, we want to let you know that we are rising to the challenges that this crisis poses. Being able to provide our customers with the products that they want is at the forefront of our mission.

#7 Supporting Your Local Businesses

Finally, we would just like to let you know how you can help your local businesses at this time. Many of us are finding it hard to keep up with the ever-changing situation that we find ourselves in. But supporting independent businesses is more important now than ever before. So, if you’re looking for local produce that will enable you to support rural businesses then take a look at some of the amazing small businesses local to Exmoor.

We know that we won’t be the only business in Exmoor suffering from the current crisis, and we are working to produce content outlining some of the ways that you can help. From local pubs and restaurants to independent cafes, inns and shops, this is the time to work together.

Thank You, Our Customers…

Both the Exmoor Distillery team and our founders, John and Nicola, would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers. You are our motivation. Changing, adapting and keeping the business thriving while providing people with what they need would have been very difficult without the amazing support that we have received over the past couple of weeks.

So from all of us here at the distillery, thank you!

John and Nicola
